Stableton Surpasses USD 1 Billion in Assets
By Stableton on September 7th, 2026
ZURICH, SWITZERLAND, September 7, 2026: Stableton Financial AG, a FINMA-regulated Swiss asset manager and global institutional investor in private blue-chip technology companies, surpassed USD 1 billion in assets in late August 2026. The firm reached its first USD 500 million 7 years after its founding in 2018. The second USD 500 million followed within 10 months.
Much of technology's value creation now happens while companies are still private: in 2025, the typical technology company went public 12 years after founding, 3x the 4 years it took in 1999. Banks, wealth managers, family offices, and institutional investors are responding by adding systematic, index-based portfolios of privately-held tech companies to their allocations.
The firm launched its flagship strategy, the Stableton Morningstar PitchBook Unicorn 20 strategy, in Switzerland in 2023, and has since expanded globally through an institutional Luxembourg investment fund, with the United States as its next market.
"We were first to market globally with this, and in the early years that made every conversation harder. Most investors had never seen private tech company exposure in a systematic, semi-liquid portfolio. Crossing USD 1 billion says our investors trusted us early, and that the asset class is maturing," said Andreas Bezner, Co-Founder and CEO. "That trust is the milestone. The product range and the team have grown, but the mission has not changed: systematic, low-cost portfolios of the world's most valuable private blue-chip tech companies at scale, so investors capture the value these companies create while they are still private.”
The Stableton Morningstar PitchBook Unicorn 20 strategy tracks the Morningstar PitchBook Unicorn 20 Index (UI 20) and combines the 20 world's most valuable private technology companies in one portfolio.
"Every meeting came back to the same four things: high fees, opaque pricing, poor liquidity, and complexity that made investors pass," said Konstantin Heiermann, Co-Founder and CFO. "We built the firm around fixing those four, and USD 1 billion in assets tells us we read the market right. The same standards that earned us the first mandate apply to everything we manage today, and they will carry us well beyond this milestone.”
Partnership programs and feeder funds make the flagship strategy available in additional jurisdictions and regulated formats. Three institutional-only offerings are now established: Stableton Strategic Capital, Stableton Thematic Capital, and Stableton Customized Mandates. The firm plans to add additional vehicles for its next markets, such as interval funds for the United States, Sharia-compliant funds for the Middle East, and a European Long-Term Investment Fund (ELTIF) for Europe.
